In 1996, Stevenson Design Works provided home design and interior design service for a home in the "1996 Street of Dreams" in Morgan Creek. Stevenson Design Works created a fabulous showcase for its design ability. Over 100,000 people viewed the home in 6 weeks. As a result, the company received numerous design commissions and an enhanced company profile. Following the success of 1996, Stevenson Design Works was looking for new worlds to conquer and set its sights on the 1997 PNE Prize Home. In the fall of 1996, the company submitted its proposal to the Pacific National Exhibition and in January 1997 was awarded the contract to design and build the 1997 PNE Prize Home. The home was built, landscaped and decorated in 100 days and was an overwhelming success at the fair, with over 230,000 fair-goers touring the home. The follow up to this project was the company winning the 1997 "Entrepreneur of the Year" awarded by the Surrey Chamber of Commerce and the winning of a Gold "Georgie" award for "Best single family residence 2000 sq. ft. - 2999 sq. ft." in 1998. 1999 proved to be a very successful year for "Georgie" awards , Stevenson Design Works also added nineteen silver "Georgie" awards to its collection. These awards are for both design work and construction expertise on projects throughout Greater Vancouver and include the coveted GOLD for "Best Residential Renovator in BC" award.

The year 2000 brought more Georgie Awards and also another successful proposal to construct the 2001 PNE Prize Home. Designed by Les Stevenson and Interior design by Liz, this home is approx. 3100 sq. ft. on two levels. It was constructed with the center portion of the home using peeled cedar log post and beam married with conventional construction on each side. The design was chosen for it's rustic appeal and the interior was a blend of traditional elements, contemporary furniture and West Coast native Indian art. Like the 1997 home, this home was built, landscaped and decorated in 100 days. After the Fair, the home was placed on a trailer, barged and relocated on a waterfront lot in Pender Harbour. For this project the company received many awards including a certificate of recognition from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canada Mortgage and Housing, five Georgie Awards and was the Grand Prize International Winner of the LP "Smart System" Home of the Year from Louisiana Pacific. The home also garnered many magazine and newspaper articles, giving the company widespread media coverage.
